lighthouses.jpg, DSCN4760.PSD, are sized for 4x6, 8 x 12, or 10 x 15 standard prints, all others are digital images of 2048 x 1536 pixels or 1536 x 2048 (a 3 x 4 aspect ratio).
In order to fit a 3x4 aspect ratio digital image into a standard print (based on film's 2x3 aspect ratio), 11% of the digital image is cropped from:
- top and bottom for horizonal pictures, and
- right and left for vertical pictures.
